Email [email protected] with your macOS version and app version (Everything Locator › About).
Some files don't show up
- Only folders you granted are indexed. Add more in Settings › Indexing, or from the menu bar icon.
- Hidden files, the contents of apps and packages, and excluded folders such as node_modules are skipped by default. Change this in Settings › Indexing, then choose Apply and Rebuild Index.
- Folders protected by macOS (Mail, Messages and other apps' data) need Full Disk Access in System Settings › Privacy & Security.
The shortcut doesn't open the window
Another app may already use ⌘⇧Space. Pick a different shortcut in Settings › General. To use ⌘Space, first turn off the Spotlight shortcut in System Settings › Keyboard › Keyboard Shortcuts › Spotlight.
Files in iCloud Drive or OneDrive
When you grant your home folder, iCloud Drive and cloud folders such as OneDrive, Google Drive and Dropbox are indexed too. The first time, macOS asks whether Everything Locator may access the files of that cloud service: choose Allow. If you chose Don't Allow, turn it on again in System Settings › Privacy & Security › Files and Folders.
Files whose content is only in the cloud are listed with ☁ next to their size. Opening or previewing one downloads it, as in Finder.
Search syntax
See the examples on the home page, or Help › Search Syntax (⌘?) in the app.
